(Edita Dress, May The Label. Shoes, Steve Madden.)

This weekend marked my 21st birthday, and I celebrated the momentous occasion with lots of food, amazing friends, a delicious cake and potentially a few too many rosé wines. The photos above are from my party at The Conservatory, taken by Andrew Lau Photography, who was absolutely amazing and I am in love with every single shot. I ordered the beautiful cake from Bluebells Cakery, it was banana & caramel flavoured and so so so good. That caramel sauce was actually insane. My dress was a bit more of a mission to acquire, but I'm so glad I ended up going with this May The Label number that is very much 'me'.

As well as posting the above snaps, I also wanted to share a little list I put together (because lists are great) with 21 life lessons/tips/things I've learnt so far. A little bit blunt, but a lot true, and in no particular order; hope you enjoy the little read.

21 things I’ve learnt in 21 years

1. Life never works out the way you plan, but that is 100% okay
2. Care a little less
3. Don’t be so afraid - it's probably not as bad as you think
4. Find great friends and hang out with them as much as possible
5. Mum is usually always right
6. 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ is the biggest lie of my life
7. Boys make better friends than boyfriends
8. Grades aren't everything - some things are worth skipping class for
9. Purging your material possessions every few months is good for your health
10. Stop relying on unreliable people
11. Take more photos of people and less photos of food
12. No one will notice that tiny flaw that you see in the mirror
13. Grudges are stupid
14. Spend your money on things & experiences that make you happy
15. Late nights are the best kind of nights
16. Have things to look forward to - it will keep you sane during stressful times
17. Talking shit will get you far in life
18. What feels like the end of the world today will likely be forgotten in a few days/weeks/months time
19. The right playlist can make all the difference
20. Surround yourself with motivation
21. Take a chance - you never know what might come out of it

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday amazing! Much love
