Elegant, flirty and summer-ready; say hello to Mrs. Pinto! After much anticipation since seeing this collection at NZFW, I'm happy to say that Amber Whitecliffe's latest summer range was officially launched last Thursday night. I was lucky enough to be able to attend her blogger's event at her Parnell boutique (despite having an exam the next day!) and got the chance to take a first look at the new season pieces.
Inspired by Amber's inherited Portuguese culture after getting married earlier this year, the collection features a stunning colour palette of red, white and hints of gold. The fun floral prints and beautiful fabrics reflect the designers signature style, and includes a gorgeous watercolour print that Amber designed herself.
The launch itself was a fun evening filled with eating too many cupcakes & strawberries, catching up/meeting the other bloggers, gushing over Amber's designs, and an insightful talk from Evelyn Ebrey of Just So Pretty, who shared her experiences as a fashion journalist. Needless to say, I was one of the last people to leave the premises (although that may been partly because I didn't want to go home and face my uni notes).
Read on to see more photos from the night, including a few of my favourite pieces.
Sweet treats for us hungry bloggers.
White silk organza speckled in gold; the perfect summer evening dress.
I absolutely adore this gorgeous matching set. (I'm also a little bit obsessed with matching sets at the moment.)
The aforementioned one of a kind watercolour print. This dress looked amazing on the runway!
In love with that neckline. /Just this whole dress in general.
Evelyn and Amber looking gorgeous in their new season threads.
The collection is currently available in stores at Amber's boutique situated at 3/323 Parnell Road; be sure to pop in for a visit! (available online very soon as well.)
I commented before but don't think it saved :/. Loved these photos Helena and it was good to see you among a sea of mainly unfamiliar faces! We will have to have a proper chat next time x
