July finally bought with it that crazy winter weather that June seemed to have forgotten about. This resulted in some freezing nights and depressing days of not wanting to leave the house no matter how many layers you piled on. Needless to say, my longing for summer sun has increased exponentially. But all is not lost; there's still hot tea, cute beanies and my onsie to keep me company while we head into August (Sorry this post is so late - half way through the month already!).
Michael Todd Honey and Oat Cleanser: I read some great reviews about this cleanser online, so when it popped up on nzsale for a bargain of a price, I snapped it up (along with the Charcoal Detoxifying Facial Mask) to give it a try. The mask is okay, but this cleanser - too good! Firstly, this stuff smells ah-MAY-zing; I have to resist the urge to eat it every time I use it (side note: I did actually accidentally get some in my mouth once - not recommended). It's also super gentle, with no sulphates or other nasties to irritate your eyes/skin. Definitely going on the to-repurchase list.
Ruby nail polish (Bambino): My lovely friend Emma gave this to me for my birthday a few months ago and I've been seriously loving it this month. I usually only need to apply two coats to get a perfect opaque shade of pastel blue. Wearing this gets me way too excited about spring/summer.
Soi salted caramel candle: Another purchase from nzsale, this little jar of deliciousness smells like all my dreams have come true. Salted caramel is my absolute favourite dessert flavour, and I seriously can't resist anything salted and covered in delicious gooey caramel goodness. I think this candle and I were meant to be ♥
Delicate gold rings (from Glassons & Lovisa): Midi rings were a godsend for small-fingered girls like myself (finally, rings that fit!) and I've gathered quite the collection since they started gaining popularity (although somehow I still want more..). Stacking up a few of these pretty pieces has been my favourite way to add a little glam to my outfits this past month.
Navy parka (Glassons): You know when you buy an item of clothing and wonder what on earth you wore before you owned it? This is that item of clothing. I actually have no idea how I've survived previous winters without this keeping me warm. It also goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe (e.g. this dress), which makes getting dressed in the morning that much easier.
