Hooray for May! So I may be a little biased since it was my birthday month (not a teen anymore!), but I have to say that this month was definitely one of the best this year. The weather was perfectly Autumnal, and my social calendar was well-stocked while still leaving a little time for not failing Uni. Here's to a fabulous June as well! Can you believe we're nearly halfway through 2014 already?
Karen Walker Botanical Wreath Ring: I picked up this little treasure on my birthday as a present from my boyfriend (because I apparently I'm fussy, so he let me chose my own present). The intricate detailing is simply gorgeous, and the flowers are the perfect balance between statement and dainty. I've worn this ring many times in the last month, whether it be to a social celebration, a dinner out or simply because I wanted my fingers to feel extra pretty that day.
Tortoiseshell pentagonal sunglasses (eQuip): I'm rarely seen without a pair of sunglasses somewhere on my head; mostly because I forget that they're there and proceed to walk around in the rain/dark looking unappropriated accessorized. Nevertheless, a nice pair of shades will always be on my list of priorities. I've been in love with geometric sunglasses ever since I laid eyes on Miu Miu's Noir, which unfortunately is just a tad out of my budget right now. So when I found these on the sale rack at eQuip for a very student friendly price, they were snapped up without hesitation. (Sunglasses side note: I've somehow managed to misplace my classic black sunglasses that I've worn multiple times in previous posts :( Looks like these babies will be my new regulars. R.I.P Sunnies.)
Estee Lauder Nutritious Vita-Mineral Moisture Creme: My mum actually picked this up for me from duty free quite a long time ago, but I only just started using it recently. Having previously only used skincare from the supermarket, all I have to say is: wow. This stuff is like gold. And it smells delicious too.
Panda sleeping mask (Typo): The second piece of eyewear to feature in this months favourites; although this one is for indoors only (well, unless I wanted to take a nap in the park maybe?). My ideal atmosphere for sleeping is complete darkness and absolute silence, so this adorable thing, along with a pair of earplugs, have me nodding off in no time.
Almonds: All hail the almighty almond; my go to snack this month. These little morsels of goodness are packed with protein, vitamin E, fiber and good fats (yes they exist), plus many more fitspo approved benefits. I've been eating a handful of these most days to help keep me going during those terrible periods of the day that aren't meal times.
