Even though I've lived in Auckland for almost two years now, last week was the first time I had actually gone to a hairdresser here. Until then, I'd gotten away with waiting until I visited Hamilton to go to my regular place, or just by doing a bit of DIY maintenance in front of the bathroom mirror. However, this time, my split ends had gotten pretty bad, and with 3 whole weeks before I was scheduled to go home, I felt like it was time to find a new hairdresser. It's always a bit of a gamble going to a new place, but I was quite lucky to find a cute little Japanese salon on High St that did a great job for a great price too. Plus, she didn't cut it too short! Always a bonus with hairdressers.
For my outfit that day, I dressed appropriately for the bright blue skies and sunshine in a flowy peachy top and floral skirt. Topped it off with my cropped short-sleeve jacket from Glassons, which is the perfect outerwear piece for spring time; keeps the wind off while still being light and breathable.
Currently, I'm in the middle of my final exams, and with one down and two to go, 'I'm ready for summer' is such an understatement..!
