TEA TIME

24 September 2013

One in every colour please !

I love tea. Like, seriously love it. It's one of the most versatile beverages on the face of the Earth, with way too many types and flavors to count. It's perfect served steaming hot on a winters evening, or chilled and infused with fruit for those warm summer days. Needless to say, I was rather excited when T2 opened it's first international store on Queen St, conveniently located about one and a half kilometers away from my apartment.

All the walls were covered from floor to ceiling in a rainbow of tea cups, pots, strainers, tins and all things tea related, not to mention the endless boxes of loose leaf tea. The whole shop also smelt delicious from all the sample teas that were brewed for the customers to try (my favourite was the chai tea served with soy and honey). Although I wanted to buy about 5 different teas on the spot, I told my self that I had to finish all the tea I had at home first. Tea hoarding is becoming a bit of a problem.. Looks like I have a lot of drinking to do. If you're in the Auckland area, I highly recommend coming to check it out; I'll definitely be coming back very soon to make my first purchase!

  1. Goodness gracious, that looks like the definition of heaven in the form of a beverage store. I personally love T2 as well, I never miss out on the opportunity to sniff some samples at my local store (whilst looking a bit too eager!) x
