REKORDERLIG WINTER LIGHTS

28 July 2013

(Tassel Cardigan, SheInside. Black jeans, Wild Pair. Booties, Hannahs. Tassel Scarf, Thrifted)

Until I tried Rekordelig, I was never really a fan of ciders. But now, it's probably my favourite choice of drink, so I was rather excited when I discovered that Rekordelig NZ was opening a pop-up bar in Central Auckland called 'Winter Lights'.  Based on the Swedish Northern Lights, the whole place is decked out with fake grass, fake snow, a cozy fire place and the smell of pine floating through the air. Along with the regular cider flavours (Strawberry & Lime, forever and always), they were also serving a new 'Winter Cider', which was a blend of apple and cinnamon flavours that reminded me of apple crumble; how perfectly appropriate.

I decided my recently purchased tassel cardigan would be very fitting to wear to a Winter-inspired bar. Although it's quite a thin cardi, it's ridiculously soft and kept me sufficiently warm with my merino top underneath. I paired it with this scarf to add even more tassel-craziness, and shearling lace up boots that I got a few years ago when they were quite popular. Even though the trend has phased out now, I still love these for the winter time and am very glad I've kept them this long.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! xx

  3. The strawberry kiwi rekorderlig is the only one I've tried but they're so good :-) I love your cardigan by the way! The weather is warming up a bit in Melbourne so you don't have to wear (as many) layers as before, so I'll definitely be on the look out for something similar!
